Terms of service

By booking a stay at The Long Beach Resort, you agree to the terms below. They govern eligibility, fees, cancellations and conduct during your stay. For a plain-language summary, see our cancellation & resort policies page.

1. Eligibility to book

The minimum age to book a cottage or suite is 21. Identification is requested at check-in.

Minimum stay is 2 nights in most cases; 1-night stays become available periodically.

2. Check-in & check-out

Check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the resort.

3. Service fee

A $200 service fee is added to each cottage or suite per reservation. It covers cleaning, re-stocking of room amenities (including filtered reverse-osmosis bottled water), beach games (volleyball, badminton, cornhole, ring toss, horseshoes, ping pong), help starting bonfires and BBQs, help inflating floaties, and staff assistance throughout your stay. The fee is non-refundable.

4. Cancellations & refunds

  • A 4% fee is charged for all cancelled reservations.
  • Cancelled within 24 hours of booking with check-in more than 30 days away: full refund minus the 4% fee.
  • Cancelled after 24 hours of booking with check-in more than 30 days away: 50% refund minus the 4% fee.
  • Cancelled within 30 days of check-in: only the service fee is refunded. No exceptions.
  • No refunds for cancellations related to travel restrictions or medical/family emergencies.

5. Security & incidentals

On arrival a credit-card authorization of up to $2,000 may be placed for incidentals and damages, released after the unit is inspected at check-out.

6. Occupancy limits

Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced. Guests 2 years old and under are not counted.

7. Quiet hours & conduct

Quiet time is 10 PM to 8 AM.

8. Smoking

Smoking is strictly forbidden inside any unit ($500 deep-clean charge).

9. Pets

Not pet friendly. Hypoallergenic dogs may be approved in advance for $100 + HST per night (max $300); not permitted on the beach except walks at the water’s edge. Service animals stay at no cost.

10. Laundry

No laundry on site; coin laundromats are a 10-minute drive away in Port Colborne.

11. Beach access

The beach is for staying guests only.
